    Dear All,
This morning I was at the street market and found this old watch, Conty is the brand name ( so far not much information online) I bought it just for the two tone dial and specially for the Pontife hands, always wanted to have a watch with such hands. I wish was an Omega but sure I would get it for 20€ as that’s what I paid for the watch. It’s a jumbo size, I didn’t measure yet but must be 38mm.
The fixed lugs where gone do the add new ones and damage the actual lugs. Still no chance to open the watch but case back is in mint condition and is stainless steel. My question? Would you look for a new case or try to fix the damage lugs?
    I appreciate your advice.
It’s manual wound and works ver fine. Dial also looks great as per its age,
    Thanks
    David

Are you from Spain? Conty was a brand for Spanish market only.

Yes from Barcelona :) , I didn’t know that. I never got involved on a project watch and don’t want to spend much on it as well. I’ll take it to the watchmaker and ask for a quote to remove the chrome and try to fix the lugs, if is not expensive that’s what I’ll do otherwise illl wait for a nice case so I can add the nice dial and calibre . Once I reach home I’ll open the case if I can and share pics to see the caliber
Hope I get some more comments

I dont think it`s even worth case repair as long as you can fit a strap to it.
Just get a new plexi crystal and a perlon strap. Next time you research an
obscure brand, use the mikrolisk search engine

    Good luck

Thanks, I didn’t know about this website. I see that the owner of this brand was from Barcelona, I believe the caliber will be Swiss

I love the dial and hands, the rest .... hope to find a new case. When I bought I didn’t pay attention to the lugs while admiring the hands lol
