I have up for sale an early 1960’s Wakmann Datalarm in great cosmetic condition. These are usually seen as Angelus Datalarm and both models seem to use the same case and movement though this one has a much more interesting dial and hands.
I bought it because I fell in love with the typeface used for the 12, 6 and 9 markers, it has a really quirky 1920’s vibe. The sunburst dial is pretty much perfect, especially considering its’ age and the trapezoid shaped date aperture is a nice touch.
Another reason behind my purchase was the hands, I’m fairly sure they are all original to the watch and the squiggly alarm hand was just too cool to not buy.
The case is in very good shape, there are some minor scratches to the lugs but nothing ugly or disfiguring to the naked eye. There are a couple of marks on the side case and if you look really closely it appears it has had a light polish here but the whole case has nice crisp edges.
There is not too much info about these online but from the images I have seen I wonder if the crowns are original. They work absolutely fine, and winding and setting the time and alarm is all very smooth.
The alarm works great, it winds and sets easily and while I would not rely on it to wake me up for a flight it is easily loud enough for use in the office or around the house. The A Schild movement ticks along fine with about 36 hours of power reserve but I have no service history and it gains about 45 seconds per day so a service is likely due.
The first person to offer US$500 by TransferWise or US$550 by PayPal wins it. The watch and I are located in Hong Kong, I have sold overseas numerous times and there are some references for me under seller profiles and reviews.
Drop me a pm with any offers or questions and many thanks to the mods for the space and these great forums, now on to the best bit, the pics!

I’ve got a Vantage (Hamilton) twin to this, and I love it. The movement was also used in Tudor watches.

I did not mention in the original listing - case is about 35mm (ex crowns) and it is 17mm between the lugs

I have had this watch serviced by a local watchmaker and it now runs about 12 seconds a day fast with a 44 hour power reserve.

Decided to move on my pieces that are not getting worn, so bumping this post.
I had this serviced locally, I think I still have the receipt though it was written in Chinese.
Drop me a pm with any questions or offers.

Seems like a fair deal for a watch with this movement with a nice dial. Now would be a good chance to get an alarm watch added to your collection.

The movement was also used in Tudors.

Amazing watch and dial, but Angelus has slightly different case and beveled edges. GLWS!
