New acquisition: a 1975ish Tissot-Meylan in the 815 case, powered by a Lemania 872. It's kissing-cousin to that rarest of Tissots, the 817 Military Navigator (civilian version of the Viggen & SAAF Lemanias).

An original caseback from that period will have the Tissot shield and a serial number on the inside. The outside caseback would normally be smooth with no markings. I would guess that your watch was some sort of presentation watch, specially engraved with a company logo and presented to a longtime employee in recognition of service to the firm.
Thank you . I had a similar suspicion that the Skoda logo on the lid was an occasional

Hi all, I am new to Tissot and just bought my first Seastar Navigator with Cal 2070 ( Valjoux 7734 )
Unfortunately, the sweep hand is incorrect and I am hoping to find a replacement for it. The sweep for this model has a longer part below the tube so most of the generic ones I have seen dont have the feature. Any help will be most appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Hmmmamu,

Thanks for the pic. Yes it is exactly the first one with the register at 3 and 9 o'clock. That big red sweep. Thank you.

there are a few parts sellers on eBay try searching " HANDSET FOR Valjoux 7734 " instead of looking for tissot handset. watches of the same era not necessarily tissot might have used the same handset on their valjoux 7734 watches

That is an impressive collection you have there!
The world Timer was quite expensive (to my standard) but the rest I have not spent a lot on... I get this 35mm watch next week and I paid like 80$.

Appologize for the bad pic - I blaim the auction house... 😉 And will post a better when I have it in my hands...
GREA PRICE DO YOU FIND IN FLES MARKET?
