Since getting into watches, I have always been drawn to this combination. There is something simple and beautiful about a handmade, minimal stitch, leather strap and when combined with a sports watch, vintage or modern, it creates a combination that really appeals to me.

Anyone else a fan of this combination? Pics?

HQMilton has some of my favorite watch pics. That Tudor is very cool and the speedmasters are great as well...very versatile watches that go great with leather.

Oh yes, really like dark vintage leather on my Explorer. I wear my SMPc with a Hirsch Performance band. Hardly vintage but very comfortable, water proof and light!

I like the look... Bulang and Sons are a particular favorite, but there are many nice choices out there these days, including some from fellow forum members.

145.022 on Leffot Shell cordovan strap (SO comfortable, patinas VERY nicely)

tag (gag) heuer CS3110 on a heuerville - was trying to replicate the OE strap but with better quality materials- I think this is one of, if not, the most comfortable strap i've owned to date.

The only watch I've owned that I prefer on a bracelet is my 16610 sub. Oyster bracelet is second to none- and I really feel it *makes* a sub feel like a sub, so to speak. But maybe that's because it doesn't have that same character as a vintage sub :)

And to totally be the opposite of what @travisrock just said about the 16610 sub, here's mine in a light and dark tan italian leather strap :p

P.S. I too love the oyster bracelet, but I'm wearing it on leather mostly these days to avoid scratching the hell out of the bracelet.. Which I somehow easily do. I don't mind using it but I hate to get it really f*cked up because its such a nice bracelet!

I agree. It's a great combo - though I also love some bracelets...

that's the best part about wearing them together though- they "wear" together! Don't want a beat up head then a mint bracelet- someone will think its a replacement ;D

Not to mention, tough to really love it if you don't wear it!
