Hi guys, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Tom, South American, owner of a nice Seamaster SMP midsize (and the one i'll talk you right now) and hopefully many others as the time goes. So here it is.

I received an Omega Speedmaster from a trade i made with a friend. We both tried to guide ourselves with forum sellers and such, but there are many things i'd like to know already about this watch. What it is obvious, it's pretty beaten up because of the years, and a missing link in the bracelet. I'm assuming pretty much this is a 105.012, 1969 maybe, but i really cannot distinguish. I'm at a loss for vintage watches, as i've focused on the modern ones. I assume 69 because of the clasp (4 69?). Here we go: 20151128_154912.jpg 20151128_154926.jpg 20151128_155111.jpg 20151128_161325.jpg

    Hi Tom. Welcome

145.022-69, probably 29 mill serial. Looks good to me. Should clean up nicely. Wears comfortably on that 1039-bracelet, but maybe you should get a 1171 too. And maybe some straps.

Have the case back removed and provide a pic of that and the movement if you want some more info. What are the first 3 or 4 numbers of the movement number? Read the info at Speedmaster101 as its a great source of Speedy info. Btw, the clasp is not going to help.

1968-9 Transitional with a DON bezel. Already has the painted logo but not the DNN or uncommon case backs.
Tops in its' class if it had the applied logo.

Serial # and a look at the inside case back will confirm.

Looks like it was used as intended. Great swap.

Mine's a tick older having the straight back engraving.
