Guy who took the photos has updated me ( @Patg spotted this at a mates place )

So my friends grandpa bought it at an op shop. farmer. used it like a machine, stuck it inside cows, cut up animals. then it stopped working one day so he took it to a watch maker. The guy laughed at him and said you need to wind it and sent him away. The grandpa thought it was too difficult and then just gave it to his son. His son has had it for years, became a dr and such but never really wore it. He was cleaning out his room and found it again, rang my friend and said "hey i'm gonna chuck this watch out that doesn't work, it looks nice, do you want it?" so my friend said yes.

This could be the plot of an ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ books, but with an incredible happy ending

He knows what it’s worth, his father and grandfather obviously didn’t.

He has since had it checked out by Lewis watch Co in Perth

Who had it checked? The friend or the GP's son?
