Now now, you haven't joined the club till you've found a bezel insert...

Seriously though, without the bezel insert that's already mighty fine lookin'!

Technically the insert is there...its just a "ghost".

If you've got the stones, the chronotrader forum has a nice looking one for sale - for the princely sum of 3,800 euros.

What's wrong with that bezel? It looks like it has been printed over.

I noticed that as well. I thought it could've been sunlight, or at most an odd manufacture job from Omega. Otherwise, the bezel looks legit as far as I can tell.

As already said in another post, this is a replacement bezel (from the 70-80ies) . This is not the light but the number looks "double" in a certain angle. I got one in the past ....

My Watchco Seamaster 300 on an Omega crocodile strap. I found it somewhat surprising that a lot of you have a dive watch on a leather strap. I normally wear this on a 1610 bracelet with 840 end pieces.

I can't imagine that there would be many owners of an original SM300 that still trust the water tightness. I know mine will never see water. So for me it's just for esthetics

This is my SM300 on 1998/840, a Watchco version, not from Watchco though.

Here's mine again on a 1610 bracelet (same as 1998 except for clasp, etc) and 840 endpieces.
