Sometimes known as the "slim Willard", this reference predated the more commonly seen 6105-8110 made famous in Apocalypse Now. While still a large watch, I personally find it more appealing and wearable. I'm not going to include a long essay about the model, since there are many articles and guides on the internet, but please let me know if you have general questions.

I picked this up earlier this year with the intention of having it restored and upgraded as a daily wear piece. It took a long time, and now that I've received it back, I'm finding myself in more of a selling mode. So since I have another 6105-8000, I'm going to offer this up. Let me emphasize from the start that this may not be for the conventional purist vintage collector because of the restoration/upgrading that has been performed, but it is an amazing vintage piece, totally overhauled and restored by the top Seiko specialist in the world (IMO). Absolutely ready to wear.

I chose this watch for restoration because of the excellent condition of dial and bezel. Both are in original condition and extremely clean, which is unusual to find for this model. The case (marked with a February 1969 production date) is strong and has the original finish, with modest signs of wear as shown in the photos. To match the condition of the dial, the hour and minute hands were replaced and the sweep hand was re-lumed to match. The original mineral glass crystal (scratched as usual) was replaced with a modern sapphire crystal with the correct shape. The original crown was repacked with a new Viton gasket. All other seals were also replaced and the watch passed a 10 bar (100m) pressure test. The movement was totally overhauled (running at approximately +5s/day on a timegrapher) and upgraded with jewels (arbor and 4th wheel) to replace the worn bushings that often result in degraded performance on these models. I'm happy to provide photos of the paperwork by PM.

I'm posting plenty of photos that should allow you to evaluate the condition of the watch, but please don't hesitate to ask questions or for additional photos as needed. Please note that the lume has the correct greenish tint, but it tends to look light in some of the better lit iPhone photos. I've also included some photos in lower light conditions which show the color better. Given the recent pressure test, I'd really prefer not to open the case unless absolutely necessary.

As you might imagine, I have more than this into the watch, but I am going to ask $1,735 USD by PP F&F, Zelle, bank wire, or other fee-free electronic payment. The watch and I are in the US (Colorado). Shipping included within the US.

Links to my selling and buying feedback are below, and I'm happy to share personal information by direct message. If anyone thinks I have made an error or omission in this listing, please send me a direct message, and I will happily make any necessary correction.
