Hello! This was my grandfather’s omega which he had sitting in his desk drawer! He said that he bought it new in the 60’s but rarely wore it. Sadly it took some damage in his drawer but I wore it recently for my wedding and it works incredibly well! I have not taken the case off for serial yet but there is an omega dealer in the city, still makes me nervous!

If you post where you live someone will be able to recommend a good watchmaker to give it a service.

Welcome to the forum! Nice heirloom!
The damage seems to be fairly light, the case looks quite sharp and the dial and lume pretty good too overall, assuming some of the marks may be on the crystal.
If you plan on wearing it often, you can probably find some recommended watchmakers on this forum using the search function. Just make sure they don’t touch the dial or polish the case and only service the movement.

Nice find! All original including the crown and crystal.

Don't let anyone polish the case. It might be tempting to make it shiny, but once the sharp edges are lost, you can't get them back, and over time you might come to appreciate the original shape of the case more than you mind a few scratches. Polishing the crystal is fine.

I noticed the gold bars on every number and really just want to polish the glass so they are more visible!

Beautiful example, quite rare to see in such good original condition and nicely preserved.
