I inherited this watch and am doing some research. Most that I see online do not have the day/date. I believe it to be in the date range of ‘63 to ‘67. I’m not sure if was purchased in Scotland or the US. I have seen wildly different prices. Not looking to ever sell, but would like to know a rough estimate on value.
I’ve had it for close to 10 years. I just purchased a new band and would like to wear it more frequently. I’m also interested to know if it’s wise to have the glass polished (or if that might diminish the value). I do notice the tiny Omega symbol in the center of glass.
    Really, any information I could get would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. 1CB20636-F9C3-49D7-8778-DC60A3C5C0D1.jpeg B4DDB2AF-8BF2-4075-B8F0-6667B2EB9505.jpeg F30372F2-F06D-4926-9304-47C013E0B099.jpeg 1CB20636-F9C3-49D7-8778-DC60A3C5C0D1.jpeg D4229D67-743E-4E81-AA89-430D18B033D5.jpeg A3ECBCDF-7177-4198-9537-4C9F801C446D.jpeg 8566EBC5-B4F8-419D-A78F-853BCF1525A3.jpeg 51E6EA9E-8CEC-47CD-B77D-4968044BF96C.jpeg 15F312A7-DFDD-4F1C-9492-5C630D8E424F.jpeg 2B8F899E-1BAD-46A5-B1FB-DED053A4ED23.jpeg

    Hi,

    welcome here on Omega Forums.

I think it is more likely that the watch is from the 70ies, could be a 1020 movement inside.

If you like to wear the watch -as you pointed out- I think it's no problem if you polish the crystal.

You could try to get you a golden 1503 Omega bracelet (of course you can keep yours as well)

I wouldn't expect too much (money) value for this watch, just wear it and enjoy it!

You may want to get the watch serviced if you are going to wear it regularly. A new crystal is inexpensive so you may want to get a new one if the old does not polish out. Do not polish the watch itself! Clean it but do not polish.

Only advice I can give is to be extra careful when swapping out watch bands. One lug snapped off mine and I've yet to find a replacement case or anyone who'd try repairing the old one.
