Maybe it's my poor searching ability, but I can only find that the 145.018 is the De Ville model
and not a Seamaster?
Here are a couple pics and looks like a De Ville caseback on a Seamaster?
Appreciate any thoughts.

145.0018 seems like nearly identical watch, so I guess it isn't surprising to use that part (not sure why it would need replacing thought). And it seems they didn't have Seamaster/DeVille logo on the back, just plain cover.

You can have both DeVille and Seamaster on those.

I have a seamaster one with a GF case all legit (no pics available right now but I will share some next week). I also believe one similar model SS has been sold recently here.

You can also find an interesting article on those on fratellowatches…

So that is not an issue for me.
BTW it is a very nice watch.

Purchased here last yr, 145.018 outer Caseback has Waterproof otherwise blank. 861 movement.
Seamaster script with coat hanger S. My understanding is that this reference came either with Seamaster or Deville, but not Seamaster Deville together
On 1016/524 bracelet which was commonly seen with these.

Nice watch OP, the 861 Seamasters in this family are a lot cheaper to run and better at maintaining water resistance than the earlier 321 models so they’re a terrific watch to have.

Very nice watch. My opinion is these Seamasters are much nicer than the current Seamaster. Without the busy tachymeter bezel and that awesome dial .... winner !

This is a much smaller watch at 36 mm than the big current version. It wears very well one of my favorites
See how much smaller it is than the Speedy

Also a lot thinner, which makes me wonder if Omega will consider using the 3861 at some point in a modern dress watch, but I guess they have manual wind versions of the Cal 9900 in the new Speedmaster chronoscope line and that might be as thin as the 3861

Apologies for resurrecting the thread, but did the 145.018 ever come on an Omega BOR bracelet?

Thanks!

This variant, without the yellow lume pips at the hour markers and with the ‘Seamaster’ is the one I like most. The uniformity of the dial is great!

??? 524 Endlinks are for a Beads of Rice bracelet, they’re for the 1069.

@SOG53 what size wrist do you have and how does it wear/look as say compared to a regular sized Speedmaster or a 36mm?

Thanks!
