I am not quite sure if this Seamaster I'm considering is a redial however I'm guessing it is. Can anyone say for sure?

I don't see why this should be a redial, I'd stay far away from it regardless. While the incorrect crown and the probably incorrect plexi (gold tension ring in an SS case, it looks like?) are minor issues, the dial seems to be very dirty and the case has been polished to death, none of the original edges are left.

Edit: I just read the item description: The seller states it's 14k gold capped? Did they polish off the complete gold-cap? Something's weird here, that would explain the gold tension ring though...

I posted it on the "recommended on eBay" thread but I'm gonna remove it. Now that I see it on a computer screen, something is off with the 6 o'cock marker.

I don't know if it has been repainted, but something is definitely wrong with that dial.

Looks like iti was beat up some. As for the crown, the originals for those are long discontinued, so that explains the replacement.

What a shame. Thanks for the input!

I have some questions about the shape of M in AUTO"M"ATIC, is it light reflection?

It’s not possible to say from such low quality pictures but if I had to make a call based on those alone I’d say original

The first two photos are so overexposed you can barely tell there is gold. If you are considering buying it ask for new photos that have not been processed.
