Hello everybody I wonder if you can help me please?

I have always wanted a vintage Seamaster and I have bought one off eBay (paid for and waiting to be delivered).

I fear I may have rushed into this and feel a bit silly now. I have concerns over whether the piece is genuine or not and wondered if you could offer your opinions please? My biggest concern is the font of the word 'Seamaster' on the dial, in particular the space between the letter A and M- to me it just looks a bit shoddy.

Here are the pictures of the watch and description from eBay

That will teach me for not researching before I buy.

Many thanks for the quick, honest response

Is anybody able to advise whether the case is an original Omega one and if so, which model? Thanks

Dial looks original to me. Not refinished.

The font of the word 'Seamaster' just looks a bit weird to me, in particular the part between the A and the M. It doesn't look as fluent as other examples I have seen

    True.
But that font was used in the late 60's early 70's on some rare models.

Can you show some pictures? I've only seen something similar, besides differences in the S and r, none has letters not all on a straight baseline and with different slant angles like this one. The dial indeed looks good otherwise.

You're correct. Many of the DeVille day date cal.1020 have this style.
