My bet is that it's not an original piece. Would you please confirm or deny? Sorry, these are the best pictures I have.
David, the watch is an advert for what to spot in a Seamaster 300 fakes:..stubbies, datewindow, pointed A in waterproof on caseback .... Here's a quick primer: http://scubawatch.org/hallofshame.html
Interesting that it was just posted on eBay. http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=281610076119&alt=webPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Modest proposal- where did you see it listed yesterday?
This is an earlier copy of the Seamaster 300. There was a company making fake cases and dials to hold original Omega movements in the late '90s / early 00's. I purchased one once at the cost of the movement alone. Note that the script in the back is a quick give-away if it is genuine. Also note that original Omega backs will NOT fit on this fake case making them much harder to pass as authentic via Watchco purchases. If the seller on ebay were to take a pic of the inside of the back, the case number is slightly off from Omega. The new copies out there now don't even bother to put in an Omega movement.
This watch has been taken down again. 3 times now. I wonder if people from this list are peppering him with nasty questions?
