Vintage Seamaster - 166-0174 - some concerns

Hello, I'm new - having lurked for quite a long time, it was time to start an account. I'm looking to expand my collection to include some vintage Omegas. Love the original Seamaster and Speedies.

I found this on eBay. Looks in lovely condition. Huge fan of the strap. However, my research suggest the model number 166-0174 was a Geneve Month-Date from 1974 rather than a Seamaster with Day only. Have I assumed right, and this is in fact either a imitation or been redialled/build up from different parts?

I also note the Omega symbol on the strap looks like the base of the 'O' is quite closed, suggesting it may not be genuine too?

Thoughts from any old hands to this novice much appreciated!

The squared off case by the lugs would irritate me - go for a 60s design. You can buy straps like the one in the photo on Amazon and eBay for peanuts

Out of interest, what do we think about this Speedmaster reduced?

Always better to start a new thread for a different watch
