On offer here is a genuine vintage Swiss-made Rolex Buckle with oversize open-bottom “Broom”-type coronet in 18k Yellow Gold and 16mm width. This buckle has an uncommon “Depose” marking contained within the rear nomenclature, which indicates that the design was still proprietary to Rolex when this buckle was manufactured. I would guess based on these interesting characteristics that this buckle dates from the late 1940s to the 1950s and so, is suitable for a variety of classic Rolex models in gold from that era, such as early Datejusts, Day-Dates, GMTs and pre-Daytona chronographs.
This buckle is in Very Good overall vintage condition, with some signs of wear and age but no major defects, although I don’t believe the tang is solid gold (looks like gold plated steel to me with some wear). The nomenclature on the underside is worn but still legible with a loupe and reads “DEPOSE” “SWISS” and the encircled “ROLEX S.A.”
I'm asking $595 USD for this solid 18k gold vintage Rolex buckle. The price includes domestic U.S. shipping. International to be discussed and will be at cost, which is not too cheap these days! 😉
Offered with a 3-day inspection period from the date of receipt and may be returned for a full refund (less any shipping costs incurred by the buyer). This refund is unconditional and once I get back the buckle in exactly the same condition as it was sent to you, your money will be refunded. Once the 3 days are over the sale will be considered FINAL.
Thanks for looking,
T.
