Hello, I had a nice little watch from a lot I purchased. I picked it up, wound it and it started running. My boys are fascinated with my obsession (errr...hobby) and were pumped to receive watches of their very own (see my poor quality photo taken at the restaurant). Tonight it dawned on me that this watch is probably a 1940’s watch. It’s a small Rodania, maybe 30mm. Would these hands (which look original to me) be Radium? If so, do I need to “lose” it? I gave my 8 yo a similar piece. Thanks in advance.
These pieces probably do have radium lume, as tritium use didn't really become widespread until later.
Here is a read for you. http://www.vintagewatchstraps.com/luminous.php Shouldn't be a drama if watch is sealed with crystal and case back. ( but if they are a dial lickers like @JimInOz )
