First of all - I like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!

What do you all think of watch conversions like these? I really like the look of them and am thinking of bidding of one. How do I know they are authentic Omegas?

Frankly Frank, we don't like them at all.

Don't be surprised if you 'lose' the auction only to see the watch relisted. Shill bidding is standard practice with those criminals.

These guys put enough weasel words in to make the watch seem authentic, but they have an "out" if you want to return it. Not all pocket watch conversions are created equal. These are generally poorly made, the cases don't seal well, and the few I have had in for service didn't run worth a crap without huge investments in parts and labour.

There are other options out there (like mine for example) but they are not pretending to be something that they aren't, unlike the Ukrainian watches usually are.

    Cheers, Al

Good to know!! Thanks for all the help guys!! I kept seeing them but I had no idea on how to distinguish them from real, fake, good or bad quality. I didn't want to spend cash on something that'll be worthless or made fun of in conversation at a repair shop.
Archer where did you get yours? Are there good, legitimate websites where I can find conversions like these?

That's pretty neat, I like the Sterling one.
