Can someone give me some insight into this watch? I know it's a Patel Philippe Ellipse but I am wondering if you guys see anything wrong with this watch?
Seller is asking 4,000$

I don't want to open the caseback as I don't know if it's a pressure fit or what? I'm keeping my tools away from it for now.
My boss is going to bring it to a Patek Philippe convention in New York soon so he will have it checked out there. I do not think the dial is original.

I don't know, my boss likes it but I wouldn't buy it personally. It's 18k gold and total weight is 3.1oz

 

Even though 3.1 oz includes the movement and glass $4k is only $1k over scrap for a Patek so guessing most people agree with you
