    Hi folks
Picked up this 38mm cal 852 stainless steel Eterna today. Have attempted to find out a little more but all I get when I Google the info is a different model called the 'Majetek' issued to the Czech air force. Can't find much on this though. Its a heavy large watch with a nicely aged dial but any more info would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance

One of our Scandinavian members is pretty well versed in these, but can't remember if it was @Northernman or someone else.

I own a few of these (one soon to be offered for sale). It is a caliber 852S (sub-second versions are 852). Movement dates to around 1955. These came in a few different case styles, and many dial variations. 38mm is one of the larger examples, though I have seen even larger.

Not a military watch, of course, though the dial has a bit of that "style".

These were relatively inexpensive a few years ago, but no more.

    Nice watch!

I do share love for the Eterna brand, but I am no expert.
The Majetek, as referred to, was one of the more famous models with the 852s caliber.
Due to the size of the movement itself (14-ligne/31.6mm diameter), cases will need to be relatively large. Combined with a very good technical design, this makes it very interesting from a collectors point of view.
    Your example looks great! Congrats!

This is the Czech pilot "Majetek" mentioned above. The issued examples have the crossed-swords stamped on the lug and an issue number on the case-back.
