hello , I am new here and new to watches, I am a jeweller and a restorer at the museum. Some time ago I got hold of an Omega watch that intrigued me as a museum worker. I searched the internet and did not find anything similar. The black letter writings on this watch are off, but the traces are still wissible: AUTOMATIC CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFYED and Constelation above the star. The only one I found looking the same has writing TIFFANY & CO. instead of OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED. Will be gratefull for any information on this item.

    Poor thing.
I think it was a nice Constellation once upon a time.
I’d put it a bit later around 62/63.
Uncommon Arabic quarter numerals pie pan dial.

Every museum I have visited, and I have visited a lot, has broken pots in them. Why is this? There should be one broken pot museum, perhaps in New York, for all the global broken pots from every other museum, it would free up a lot of space.:)

than you all for qick replyes and useful information. Best regards to my colleague from The Broken Pot Museum, sorry to disappoint you, but I intend to keep my 'broken pot' for it still shows time perfectly and it's made of gold which I can always use for jewellery,..New York I think would be too small for all the broken heads museum...

It would be a pity to scrap it.
Wear it as great talking point.
    Very shabby-chic

It was a genuine question about why many museums have broken pots in them, not a eufenism for your watch, which with a bit of TCL, will be a lovely watch to wear.
