Hi, have been trying to find out info about this watch. I have tried the omega vintage watch search and google etc but cant find it any where. The only thing i can tell you its solid 18k gold.
Serial number dates it to ca 1964. Unfortunately not a popular style from a collectability standpoint.
Some ladies (my wife) collect Omegas. There may not be a long line up of potential buyers for such a watch, but you only need one person who wants it. Inside the case back there are a few watchmaker repair numbers, and some of the screws look to be chewed up a bit, but it looks reasonably good.
€ 1,000, that's U S $1,149.70. 18-karat is only 75% gold. Scrap dealers don't pay based on the current price per gram of pure gold, for the net content of scrap gold. If you paid €1,000 for it, maybe better you should strip it of the movement and crystal, weigh it, and check around for offers. I suspect you'd be better off giving it to someone who likes it, will wear it, and enjoy it. If scrapping it was not your reason for enquiring as to whether you got good value or not, and assuming you (or someone else) likes it, enjoy it!
