Hi I have inherited this omega watch case number 1425 omega seamaster I’m hoping for a little more information on it and I’m also hoping to restore it with original band etc if anyone could point me in the right direction to help me out.

Welcome!!

Appears to me it hails from the 1970's, and runs by a battery.

Yes it’s a quartz watch I have been inside and have found a movement to put in the watch as this one doesn’t work anymore so will do that but I think my hardest challenge will be finding a like for like band I’m hoping someone can help with that

This one might be a good candidate for factory service, though you've said you've sourced a movement? Omega?

Worth checking into it, even though the answer might be "sorry, don't do those any more."

thanks yea omega have discontinued all parts so I have been told for this particular watch the movement I have found is actually a like for like movement that is compatible which I can fit and it will use the existing hands which I’m happy about but would anyone know my best chance of finding a pre loved band for this watch ?

So good news, we have an awesome thread on here with just about every Omega reference and the bracelets & endlinks that were original for those models.
See here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/case-bracelet-endpiece-list.81618/

Bad news, for some reason that reference number is not on there. It skips from 196.0245 to 196.0247 🙁
Oh know haha that’d be right any idea on where my best is to find a band for it then should I just keep a look out on eBay for a broken watch an use the band you think?

Be patient, there are *alot* more knowledgeable members on here than me, give it a day or so and maybe they can chime in with some suggestions on what the correct bracelet number would be for this head.
If you're not able to figure out what the correct bracelet and endlinks are, then at a minimum you know the 776 endlinks (see the number on the endlink in this picture?) can be fitted to the head. Go to that bracelet/endlink master list thread I linked above and see what bracelets are matched with those 776 endlinks and you can figure out what bracelet options you have available to you (albeit, potentially not being "original" to the watch).

LOL, I just skimmed over all of the pictures in that thread I linked and I couldn't find any bracelet there that uses a 776 endlink. 🙁

Also, not many results on Ebay or google for "omega 776 endlink"
Maybe a more experienced member can add some insight.

Good luck.
