    Hi everyone,

this is my first post on the forum. I'm looking for some information about this very old and rare watch (just 1000 built, I have the n. 0001).
It's very hard to find some information, what I found is, probably, the n. of model:

Thank you very much in advance.

Now that's something different! Unfortunately I have no further information for you, but congratulate you to that special piece!

Calling in @mondodec , he has a vast knowledge about constellations and might be able to help.

Paging @ConElPueblo , he knows his Connies...The mechanical ones anyways... That is quite a chunky monkey you got there. The gold value alone must be considerable. Ticks all the boxes for a highly collectible watch, though I'm not sure I'd personally ever have it on my wrist. Has a most distinctive vibe...but I'm not quite sure what..."dodgy building contractor who's fled to Dubai " perhaps?

I am waaaay out of my comfort zone here. But a Beta 21-equipped model from a very well-known brand in THAT condition, we're talking serious horology. And a not insignificant amount of value.

Have a listen to this podcast with James Dowling where he talks about Beta 21 watches: https://www.time4apint.com/podcast/the-time-4a-pint-podcast-episode-33

You could try to contact James Dowling to hear more - but I am sure that there are collectors here on OF who knows their way around these. @Tom Dick springs to mind :)

    Hi Guys
There is a cult of collectors for beta 21 powered watches.... the movement was used by many Swiss houses... IWC, Rolex , Patek and others....

James and I had a discussion 20 years ago and agreed Beta 21 is historically significant.

    Your mileage may vary.

Over the years there were several posts on WUS in the High Accuracy Quartz forum regarding the Beta 21 movement.

Lovely looking thing, with a fascinating piece of technology inside!

It’s probably worth requesting an Extract of the Archives from Omega, which will give you a little more information about when/where this was delivered.

    A rare bird for sure.
