It's with a heavy heart I'm writing this. My father passed away and left me his omega sea master de ville. I believe it's circa 1969.
I'm a huge watch fan, but have never owned a vintage piece. I know it's been serviced once in the 80's. So I'm looking to get it serviced and I live in LA. I'm thinking of second time around or possibly wanna buy a watch. Any other recommendations would be appreciated. I'll post some pics when I get back in town. The crystal is cracked, but I'm not sure if I want to fix that part. I like the character it adds.
If anyone knows or owns this particular model I'd love to hear about it.
    Thanks

really? they told me an outside watchmaker: hmmm...

ps: this is from their site:
"Once a timepiece has been brought for examination we send it to our team specialist, who, at that time, inspects the timepiece with expertise and precision for any malfunctions or adjustments. Our specialist then provides us with an estimate, which is when we notify the owner if they wish to proceed."

It's been many years since I used them, but ABC Watchwerks did an excellent job restoring a Speedmaster MkII. If I recall correctly the name of the watchmaker who worked on my watch was Dalton. I would check them out and ask for examples of work.

this is where Dalton ended up, after a stint in Seattle at school and a stint in Dallas with the big R.

I've heard stories that ABC isn't as good as it used to be. Can anybody confirm this? As they've always treated me well.

A little update, sorry it’s been a while. Took it jackmond, and they did an fantastic job. They said they send their watches out. Took about two weeks because a couple parts had to ordered, but came back running great.

I use LAWW for all my vintage Omega and Rolex. They are the best IMO.
