My father as this watch while ago.

I have been told is a redial.

Can you please give me your opinion and other relevant data about this model.

Please take it to a watchmaker and have him open it up. Once that is done, take good, clear, preferably high resolution photos of the movement and inside the case back of the reference number. Once you have done that take clear, preferably hi-res photos of the dial, straight on, and we'll be better equipped to answer your questions.
