would appreciate your insight, considering to buy this watch on an auction:

Omega Automatic Seamster Ref 14701 1 SC

I read the previous post but could not figure out , my questions as follows:

1. Is this the original dial - could not find any dial that looks the same as this
2. Was the dial originally gold?
3. Does anybody have something remotely the same for comparison?

That is likely dial damage. It would have been some manner of silver or perhaps white originally.

Depends, some people like it and call it some form of patina. If you like it and price in that other don't do it necessarily, you can get something you enjoy.
