    Hi guys
Just picked up this vintage omega seamaster. I was hoping you could help identify it. Dial is 'Swiss Made" so I'm assuming it's radium. Not keen to open this one up. One piece stainless steel case. Here are some snaps. Also I'm from Australia and it's late so I will not respond for 8 hours. Looking forward to seeing what you have to say.
    Regards
    Dan

Looks like a ref. 14725 from the early 60s and the second hand is missing.

No radium. This watch opens from the front.

Thanks! that looks like the exact watch. Any idea how I can find a second hand?

I'm not sure what being a front loader has to do with what luminescent material was used.

Righty or wrongly I assume these early, pre-DeVille front loaders could be radium. Granted they may fall in the period when tritium was used, but prior to the T's being a legal requirement, but I believe the first 14770's came out in 1960/61 so radium may well have been used.

In terms of a service and a new second hand depending on your budget you could try....

I don't want to over capitalise on the watch so going to keep the budget low. At this point I really just want to find a correct hand (preferably used) to roughly match the hour and min hands.
