I'm downsizing my collection. Up for sale is a vintage early 70's Omega Seamaster cushion case auto with day-date. This watch is in beautiful condition considering it is more than 40 years old. It is a rare gold plated (plaque 40) version of reference 166.0064. The movement is calibre 752, automatic with fast push/pull date. It was serviced by my watchmaker in Italy in May 2014 and is running superbly.

It comes with the Hirsch brown leather alligator strap shown in the photos and a second generic black leather alligator strap.

I am asking $600.

Details from the Omega Archives on this watch:
Seamaster
Gents' leather strap
Dimensions: Ø38 mm
Reference: ST 166.0064
International collection: 1971 - 1976
Movement Type: Automatic (mechanical)
Caliber number: 752
Created in 1967
24 jewels
Central sweep-second hand
Functions: Day-date
Case: Stainless steel
Case back: Screw-in
Dial: Different types available, with "index" hour markers and luminous "stick" hands
Crystal: Armoured glass

On closer inspection, I noticed two minor flaws with the watch. So, if you look very closely at the photos, you should notice a mark to the right of the 12:00 minute marker, which appears to be something on the dial. I'm not sure if it is dust or what...I just recently noticed it, as it is very small. There is also a mark above the date window. I don't know what it is...it may be a mark on the crystal or the dial...it is very difficult to tell. I have uploaded a close-up photo of the areas to which I am referring but these flaws are difficult to see. You can just make out the speck on the dial I am referring to in the first two photos. It looks like a speck below and a little left of the two minute marker of the chapter ring. The other mark I referred to is also barely visible on the first and second photos above the date window and the "0" of the date.

EDIT: I timed it against the atomic clock for 24 hours (10/11 August 2014) off-wrist with crown-up and it is currently running +5 seconds over a 24 hour period!

Thanks for looking!
