Hi I am new to this site and kind of new to watch collecting. I have a vintage Omega Seamaster De Ville that I just picked up. While taking off the old band one of the lugs broke. So my question is can the lug be reattached or will I have to find a case to buy to fix the watch? If it can be repaired any advice on who could fix it and if it can't can anyone tell me what dates that cases will work with this particular Seamaster and maybe where I might be able to find one if I have to go that route? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

No way I'd try to repair that. You can see the corrosion in what's left of the attachment point. The case number will be inside the back cover, so you need to take that off to get to it.

Looking at the other lug, they both look like poor repairs.
    Can you not return it?

I got it for hardly nothing. My cousin wound up getting it in a trade and he doesn't collect watches so he almost gave it to me.

I'm new to Omegas but I only paid $100 for it. Is the movement not worth that? It keeps perfect time.

    Take it to a watchmaker.

It may cost you double that for the case repair. Very labor intensive.

Watch would be worth the $300 if there is nothing else wrong. However, add in the cost of a normal service, you'll be underwater on it.
