Vintage Omega Seamaster Authenticity

Hello Omega enthusiasts!

I'm pretty new to the watch game and just picked up my first vintage piece – an Omega Seamaster Quartz. I fell in love with it at first sight on an online marketplace. It looked beautiful and in great shape for an old watch. But now that I have it, a couple of things are making me scratch my head, and I could really use your wisdom.

Here's the deal: The back of the watch says 196.0106 which I found on Omega's vintage database. But, my watch says "Omega Seamaster Quartz" and the one online says "Omega Quartz Seamaster." Also, the "Swiss Made" at the bottom looks a bit off in spacing.
The dial looks quite crispy and the glass has the tiny Omega logo, which I thought was a good sign. But what's really bugging me is the big hand – it has this bright red tip that I didn't notice in the seller's pics, and now I can't find any other Omega watches like this.
I found the same model online here, but no red tip there either.

So, here's what I'm thinking:
  1. Is it normal for there to be little differences in the text or is this a red flag?
  2. The red tip on the hand – is that a sign that it was replaced or modified at some point in its history?
  3. I'm not looking to sell it or anything; I just like how it looks but I want to make sure it's the real deal.
I'd really appreciate any help or advice you can offer. Just trying to learn and make sure I didn't get duped on my first vintage buy.

This would have been added/modified by a previous owner. My guess is they needed extra visual aid to differentiate the hands/more easily read the time.

The red paint is an add-on but everything else looks genuine.
The time/date setting on this watch is different than most other Quartz watches. You set hour separately from minute/second. Also, the original battery is no longer available. The substitute battery is 329, and to secure it in place, you need a plastic ring around the battery.
