Hi! I got this watch for my comfirmation, but i don't know a lot about watches. Does anybody here know anything about it? I think its a 1964 model.
The 600 hundred series was based on the 600 series manual wind movements. This could be a ref 135.011, but we would need to see pictures of the movement and inside the case back. The dial on the watch is not original and is repainted. Hope this helps.
Yes they did...mine is a Cal. 611 movement which had the date. Some of the 600 movements did not have the date.
Here is a picture of the inside, yes it says it is a 601. And one more question, it says 17 jewels, what does that mean?
Oops - frankenwatch. That case should not have a ca. 611, but instead a 256 or 266. So, you've got a movement and a case that were not meant to be together, and a re-finished dial. http://www.omegawatches.com/spirit/history/vintage-omegas/vintage-watches-database?ref=15110 Not desirable to collectors, but if you like the way it looks and wears, wear it hard and enjoy!
