Up for sale is an Omega Seamaster 300 165.024 that likely dates to 1967-1969.
The watch is in very good condition and functions as it should. It was recently serviced by Simon Freese and has a 12 month warranty for mechanical faults.
The dial is stunning and has aged to a lovely patina. It does glow briefly under UV light. The bezel insert does show a crack at 5 and a ding at 10. It shows signs of age but adds to the character of the watch. The crystal is original and marked Omega.
The case shows signs of age and wear but is still very presentable. The caseback is legible and clear. It is marked 165.024 CB which features the later screw down crown. The crown is NOS vintage correct replacement.
The 552 movement is clean and has been recently serviced. It is stamped 20645049 which dates it to 1963. This is earlier than the case with its screw down crown would indicate the rest of the watch is. This is how the watch came to me and its previous service history is unknown.
The watch is fitted to an Uncle Seiko brushed flat link bracelet with an original Omega 1035 clasp that dates to 1971. It is missing a small part of the tab on the right side but closes correctly and it comes with its original US clasp as well. It is fitted with aftermarket 516 end links.
