I'm not the original owner and not familiar with Omega watches. Just wondering the age and approx. value of this watch. Back is stamped 18K 750 and #207031. If I go through the trouble of having someone open the back will there be any helpful information to help identify age, value, etc.
The only thing you will find out by opening the back is that the movement was not made by Omega. This is a bad fake. It is not gold. It has no value. What makes this even worse is that the dial has recently been redone to say "30T2", which is a correct model number for some of the older 30mm movements. That means that this is a fake that was made specifically to deceive collectors. There should be special "ring of dishonor" in Dante's Inferno for the lowlife that thought this one up. gatorcpa
Not the answer I was hoping for. That might explain why I couldn't find any type of indentation to pop open the back. The maker probably didn't want it to be opened. I was at least hoping for some gold value.
If you bought this on eBay, you should be able to get your money back. Otherwise, I think you're SOL. gatorcpa
Maybe yes, maybe no. These auctions are not run by the U.S. government, just contractors for the government. They need to meet all state and federal laws, including those against misrepresentation or selling counterfeit merchandise. If you only paid a few dollars, then you probably know what you got. If you paid real Omega money for a fake, then you have a good case. gatorcpa
