Hello i have this Omega Seamaster 120 , and this ref is 566.023 , its a midsize 31mm
But there is also a Omega Seamaster 120 ref 566.007 also midsize ...
Is the movement the only difference ? or why two identical watches with difference ref nr ?
This watch is NOS and i am planning to sell it , but i dont find any prices on my ref.
Is the value same as the 566.007 ?

I think the 566.007 was made a few years earlier than your one and has a different handset

According to Omega both references use cal. 681

I think the Cal. 684 was launched by Omega in 1971. Perhaps very late examples of the 566.023 came with the 684 instead of the 681.
How do you quickset the date on your watch?

Another difference I just noticed is on the bezel. The black paint on the 566.007 goes all the way to the edge including the teeth unlike your example.

Oh, sorry I see I’m a dinosaur
I have seen a couple of time Men have bought these SM120 “midsize” online. Lets say they were disappointed when they got them delivered

So after reading that article, you're not tempted to put an offer in for the OP's watch?

Yeah, the 566.007 reference has an anodized bezel similar to the 36mm versions made at the same time. OP's looks like it has an insert instead.

The 31mm versions used to be sub $1k on a reliable basis but have shot up over $1500 in the last 6 months. They're "midsized" in that there is a 25mm Seamaster diver (60m) in a similar style so the 31mm sits in the middle been the 36mm and 25mm, but that's about it. I'm all for "wear what you want" and "fυck gendered marketing" but calling a 31mm watch midsized in a modern context is just dumb.
