Hello, I am considering buying a vintage Omega watch, but I wanted to be sure that it is real and since I not very experient on these matters I thought it would be best to post it here. Additionally, I am not sure what the model and movement are, it would be nice to know that as well. These are all the photos that were available. I must say that I have not bought the watch yet and that I have no more images than these since I do not possess the watch.
I would not buy the watch. It is a disgusting fake, not even a "replica" or "homage" (these are fakes/counterfeits too, but usually more pleasing to the eye).
JS - Can I suggest you research using this site. Use the Sticky threads at the top on fakes, radials & fishing. If you only spent a week reading these and looking at other posts you can start spotting the rank ones pretty quickly. Also compare this info to eBay pieces and you can start testing yourself. Obviously you won’t become an expert overnight - far from it. The wise and knowledgeable on the forum have spent years gaining their experience. When I first joined the forum I was slightly troubled with the “roasting” new posters received when throwing up offerings, but being on here now for a while I can now understand the frustration some members feel when people just ignore the knowledge available and just jump in. Nothing wrong with asking, just do a bit of groundwork first.
