I’ve seen them on several other mid-1950’s Omegas, including some steel models.

The fact that you have seen it once on a Tresor does not mean it was originally there from the factory

And this is much more plausible

Do you mean this crown?

IMHO this specific crown was used only on 2 watch models, the SM olympic Melbourne (case# OT 2850) and the similar OT 2984

I find it hard to believe that this crown is correct.
