hi, I can buy this omega seamaster cosmic for a, as i think, a reasonable price (330€) but my knowledge of vintage watches is not sufficient so i can not tell if it really is a good deal so thats why i would like some help. Is this a good deal?
Do you like it? Is it running? Is it serviced? Does it have documentation? What does your research tell you?
I like it a lot. The watch is running 12 seconds too fast in 24hours so that’s fine. There is no documentation.. and there is some scratching on the glass so i’ll have to replace this.
Maybe it's the photos but to me the bezel looks like steel although the case is gold cap. That's not right.
I think most members will tell you, take your time, plenty of good examples out there. U just missed one on yahoo auction JP. https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/x593285054 For your reference.
The bezel on this model is stainless steel and not gold plated. It is not as noticeable when wearing it as you would think. It is correct for this watch. Here is mine with bracelet.
You have a movement shot I hope You never buy a watch without a movement shot ( unless it is a newish modern watch )
When I first saw the watch I thought it was weird that it was stainless steel and did an image search to make sure. I wonder if Omega we’re trying to save money or they thought it looked good so went with it as a design feature.
