I saw this listing and was intrigued… I've never seen an Omega crown with a secondary logo (…and which looks a bit like the Synchron logo, the folks who now produce the Cyma brand) within the Omega sign before. Are these from some motherlode of rare Omega crowns from the early days, or????? From an early model Chrono, perhaps? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Vintage-E...Accessories_SpareParts_SM&hash=item3a9c56b86ePurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
These are Naiad crowns. A less than successful attempt by Omega to waterproof the crown, whereby pressure from increased depth would seal the crown. Didn't work at shallower depths though.
Thanks XJR. I have an early Naiad CK2111, but it's fitted with an unbranded crown. I presume the listed crown is from the later, more modern, series. And yes, indeed, very ambitious pricing.
Or did he? On eBay, I believe half of what I see and a quarter of what they say… congratulations to him if he found a home for them, though.
