Early to mid 60s „Dogleg“ Constellation, 14902 or 168.005 is the reference number. Caliber will be 561 or 564. You’ll know for sure once it’s opened.
The condition, unfortunately, is very, very rough. Heavily polished, it’s lost its original shape. Dial is discolored. The spots / damage on the back is caused by that strap and is often referred to as „NATO“-burn. NATO is the common name for those straps and the material destroys the soft gold case back.
Value will be slightly more than gold value in this condition, which is still significant money. Not sure how heavy the case is exactly, probably like 15-20g or so, which means about 15-1800€ or so.
It's helpful to provide some context. Are you asking about a potential purchase or are you selling the watch? If buying, what is the asking price?
The soft gold caseback has sustained some damage by the abrasive strap. I would be very careful in polishing the back. You might reduce the appearance of the damage a bit, but in the process you might lose some sharpness of the caseback, which would be even worse. So be aware of that. In general, there's not much you can do to improve the condition in any significant way, the lugs are polished and the dial has some spots, although honestly it's hard to evaluate the dial because of the poor photos. If you're going to sell it, just sell it as is.
There are many dial variants, some are more desirable than others, e.g. arrowhead markers, others are just insignificant variations. The markers on this particular watch don't add any particular value as far as I know.
You should not go by c24 prices. Those watches sit for years at those prices. Anything priced well is bought within days.
I would think this watch in this condition would depend on gold value quite a bit. I dont really know, but off hand 3k would seem way too much for this.
