Hello everyone, I had this Omega Constellation fall into my lap the other day at work. I'm just trying to get a positive identification on the piece. From what I'm seeing, the serial # on the 561 movement appears to be 20360168. The markings on the case appear to be 168004-63 SC. This watch is a gold-capped model. Does everything seem to match up or do I have a Frankenstein piece? It has the original Omega acrylic with logo. Can one of you experts out there tell me what exactly I have on my hands? I am the second owner of this timepiece. It's keeping time great and I'm planning on sending it to my watchmaker this week for a cleaning/service. (Sorry for it being dirty in the pics) It came with what appears to be the original Omega box as well. I've been enjoying wearing the piece but might consider selling. I'm new to the forum and Omega watches in general, any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you!

    Welcome @zre360
Well it definitely needs a clean and a service.
Some rotor rub going on there and corrosion around the rim of the case ( no gasket)
    Nice case and medallion.
    Original crown.
Movt serial ties into the ‘63 date.

I think the dial has had some work on it as the minute ticks are not consistent and overlap the pie pan edge.
And there’s something going on with the lower half of the dial.
Misaligned cross hair and the star is too close to the text.

Still a watch you can happily wear enjoy though.

The cross hair looks like an addition as i don’t think its supposed to go to the edge of the dial on a pie pan.
It also cuts too close to the e in Constellation, it should be more central between e & l.

The fonts look correct but the minute markers have been redone for some reason.

Thanks for the quick response with all the great information! I greatly appreciate it! Here are some pics of the packaging that came with the watch, not sure if it's original or not. CB0767FC-29E5-445B-97FE-C4D69206D324.jpeg 97453F15-60DB-4022-834C-697E43EADE88.jpeg

It’s a genuine Omega box and dates to the 1950’s.
I doubt it’s original to your watch as it’s too early for this reference Constellation. You will never know for sure as dealers kept boxes separate from watches in those days and you didn’t always get the correct one back. The only thing missing is the insert (most are) which held the watch in place.
It’s in reasonable condition so probably worth around £100 - £150.
