This is a hard to find model, one of the early 3-handers (central seconds hand) that may have been made for doctors (probably had the $$ to afford it) or other medical professionals, who needed a sweep seconds hand to help with timing a pulse or counting respirations. This piece was likely intended for the American market, as OXG on movement indicates import. It dates to the around 1941-42. As far as I and the former owner are aware, this is all original, and had servicing in November 2013. No sign of any polishing!! As seen in the pictures, its condition is very good to excellent for a 70+ yr old timepiece. Great opportunity to add to something unique or as a great start to a vintage collection.
Movement: Cal R17.8 SC (became the 3xx series), manual wind, 17 jewels, loses about 7-8 sec per day
Case: 30.6 mm steel case, likely from USA typical of the period. Does not appear to have been polished.
Crown: Likely the correct crown. Omega crowns were not typically signed on watches of this period.
Dial: Off white, uniform patina with excellent preservation of numbers and seconds track. Steel indices, painted logo, no date
Crystal: acrylic with a few surface scratches, nothing that can't be polished out
Hands: likely original, "modern style", blued seconds hand
Strap: Black calf leather, aftermarket

No box or papers
No returns unless not as advertised

$750 USD, will accept PayPal, but will charge for shipping and insurance depending upon your location

And the following is from the former owner, used with permission:

I am not sure it is still aloud to comment on sales. But please not that I am not in any way criticizing this sale or this watch! And I truly think, as long as a sale is on OF, that it should be aloud to respectfully comment on watches. If I am wrong, well, I apology, and if my post is to be delated I am fine with that.

This said, I would like to say that this watch were not designed for the French market. If so, the dial should have had an inscription such as Fabriqué en Suisse. The French inscriptions on the back are just regular ones.

Best regards,
François

Hey Francois, no offense taken. I received several PMs on this piece, and based on what was wrong advice, I suggested the French connection. X350 XJS correctly identified the OXG as an USA import code, so this likely was sold in the American market. The AJTT shows several Medicus models, not this exact dial and hands combination, but I did find another picture showing these particular hands.
I really appreciate the input! Learn something new every day!!

Very nice, sweep seconds remind me of my Movado which came from the family of a doctor.
