    Hi all,

Am excited about this one and I'm seriously thinking of pulling the trigger but just wanted to ask for second opinions:

    1) Does the dial look original (i.e. not been refinished or redialed)?

    2) Does the movement match the watch model and timeline?

    3) Anything about the watch that should give me pause and cause for concern or does the watch look legit with all parts genuine?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks all.

Additional photos. Crystal has been replaced according to the seller.

Dial appears refinished. The cross-hairs and minute track are far too heavy.

    Hi X350,

Many thanks for your thoughts - I have asked the seller and he said the dial is original and never had any work done on it.

Is there anything in particular that makes you suspect that it appears refinished? I've tried to compare the cross hairs and minute track with images online and to my untrained eye, they look similar but I'm not an Omega vintage expert so any help is most appreciated.

    Your thoughts @ConElPueblo?

Redial no matter what the seller says.

Look at the minute track. The thickness and length of the indices varies and is too bold. As @X350 XJR already said, this dial has been redone.

Have you noticed the case reference number on the inside of the caseback?

And I concur with the initial assessment - refinished dial.

Yes, correct. Case ref. is different from 14391.

    Too many open questions here.

Can't believe I missed that the first time around. Got overexcited because I really like the watch :(

I was wondering about that but wasn't sure it should always match up.

For my own knowledge, should the case ref always match the watch ref, assuming of course that all parts are original to that particular watch?

    Thanks!

How did OP come up with CK 14391?

    Case is marked 14713.

Yes, apart from the early watches (before the late 1940s), the case ref. on the inside of the case back is always the watch ref.

I asked him for the ref and originally he said it was 14713 before correcting himself and said it is 14391.
