Ok, what am I missing here. Stainless chronometer from around 1934 brought $2.6K. Not running. Mixed hands. I thought sub $1K....... Is this a grail watch? Aren't these about a 35mm case? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Chr...6Zrju93qRA8jg%2BiHRoA%3D&orig_cvip=true&rt=ncPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network
Yes this is desirable watch, except for the: 1. movement not working, 2. mixed hands 3. old redial 4. poor detail photos 6. way to much money for this condition. I too was following this watch and thought maybe it would fly low under the radar. It was low all week and then went crazy at the end. Nuts. I can only conclude that some thought it was a sleeper because of the poor photos. But I don't beleive the dial is not what some thought is
It's 35.5 mm in diameter ..... Agree on hands, I personally have a special spot for 30 mm Rg , and even more for a 35.5 oversized in steel! Hopefully just hairspring is hung up...... Good hunting Bill
Not too sure about the chronometre being a redial - will need to see nicer photos. If the dial is original it's not an unreasonable price.
dial will be original. but better pics. would be in order..... not a bad price; oversized steel chronometer`s are not very common. I sold mine serviced and with original hands for US $ 3200 kind regards. achim
Interesting point. Good eye. I suppose if somebody on the forum bought it, we could get better pictures and put an end to it...
I've seen a couple with Swiss Made. I was a little weary about the Omega logo but the pictures are definitely limiting.
I was following and bid, but way too low. My estimation was based mostly on the case and movement. I was unsure whether the dial is original and it clearly needs hands and a service. If this was bought to restore and keep, this price is at the high end. If bought to flip, not much of a margin left, IMO.
Hmmm... Steel in my opinion more uncommon the gold and a oversize one even more so. Looking forward to see where it pops up. Bill
