    Hello,

I have together with a friend of mine, an old Omega and we are trying to figure out what is the best way to restore it in a better condition.

What I found by myself since now is that the watch is an Art Deco model from '30-'40 and the caliber must be a T17 or 20.

Any help and advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance and here are the pictures:

I agree with Erich regarding the condition...

It is a CK 730 with T17 Inside.

    Here in a 1938 catalog :

Note that CK 730 was also produced earlier with a 20mm Inside, but the hands and dial style of your watch is typical for T17.

There should be a notch in the caseback by the springbar.
    Use a caseback knife

or an appropriate tool to gently pop the caseback from the case.

I would normally refer you to a watchmaker or a more careful method, but frankly, you aren't going to hurt that case.
