·For sale is this lovely and rather uncommon MIMO Pulsometer Chronograph from the 1940s.
MIMO has an interesting history, being closely associated with Girard-Perregaux, with the two brands sharing ownership and designs during this period.
What really makes this watch special is its beautifully preserved original silver/cream dial, which is in exceptionally good condition for its age.
The unusual “Up/Down” layout features a 30-minute chronograph counter at 12 o’clock, running seconds at 6 o’clock and a outer “30 PULSATIONS” scale.
Inside is a MIMO-signed, 17-jewel manual-winding column-wheel chronograph movement, identified as Venus calibre 170.
Details:
Condition:
The watch runs very well and keeps excellent time. The chronograph starts, stops and resets exactly as it should.
The case remains unpolished, retaining its original shape and nicely defined lugs. It shows honest signs of age and wear.
Service history is unknown. Please take a good look at the photos, as they form part of the description.
Price: EUR 725, net to me. Payment by bank transfer or Wise.
The watch is located in Denmark (EU), and I’m happy to ship worldwide on buyers expense.
References from previous sales here on OF are available upon request.
Feel free to get in touch if you have any questions or would like additional photos.
