Minutehand appears too large, engraved case-back, appears overpolished and overpriced. I believe you can find a more solid deal on here sometimes.

Very interesting to see the golden fish medaillion on a manual wound Longines.

I know that they made some casebacks with the fish as engravings before the Conquest (automatic) was launched.
...but I never saw a golden fish medaillion with enamel on another watch than a Conquest. Nevertheless the caseback one on the watch you posted looks authentic to me.

Run from this one, it's not authentic Longines.

Too many issues on this one to list, but here's a start: Most obvious is blue enamel (and a bad job) isn't correct on the fish medallion, it should be green; highly overpriced, where's the Conquest font?

I read up on what gold capped means so...if it looks polished, I dont know how thats gonna affect the "capping" though. Not too fussed about the case back being engraved upon. AA looks like someones initals perhaps. Also the whole October 1956 thing, I think its alright. the crown, well, it has the longines symbol on it. But the dial... and the Longines written on it... is it...(gulp) a redial this one?

Yes it appears to be a redial.

I would not recommend the watch either, but i disagree that the caseback is badly carried out. It's just worn the same way it happens on the conquests. I like the fact that it is blue and still think it is originally applied by Longines.

Well I read the description further and it seems it's not an automatic as the headline says.

TNTM everything here, but also there's no 'Swiss' at the very bottom of the dial... this isn't an 'absolute', but always a red flag...

Definitely was NOT applied by Longines. They ONLY used the blue on the 'Waves and Stars' medallion.
