I am no expert but on review of similar images of that watch online I think it looks ok - the crowns may not be original though.

I stress my lack of expertise here.

My depth of knowledge is sitting on the beach looking at the water, but I thought the same thing, the crowns look off.

Hoping more experienced folks come along soon to lend their thoughts.

The watch looks kosher including crowns which are original. Interestingly this seller had sold two other LLDs this year also in nice condition iirc.

The dial is still throwing me off... The markers generally and round vs rectangle 3.6.9.12. How many variations exist?

I've spoken to a collector who's versed in the LLD when I was buying mine, he toldtold me there are several variations although he did not tell me how many. And that mine is fine.

Are they modern replacements?

That's a ref. 7042, like mine.

I think the numbers on this reference shouldn't be lumed, but it looks right otherwise, including crowns.
This article is a good reference ("7402" in this article is a typo; it should read 7042):

I've seen 2 different variations of hour hands, the fully lume ones like mine and MMMD's and the one on yours which is partially lumed at the tip on the original vintage LLD. However all the minute hands that I have seen, although I may not have seen enough, are with lume which spans throughout the entire hands like the others you have seen in this thread. The hands of the heritage watch is similar with full lume. So I agree with Dennis they are replacements and the minute hand does not belong to a LLD.

I was unable to find another with similarly lumed numbers... They look similar to Nautilus lume... It is a 7042 So perhaps it's an early version? I also wondered why the numbers were lumed and the bezel triangle was not. Curious to see what the market thinks.
