I managed to pick up this beautiful watch the other day. It is 18k screw back with a linen finish dial. The subs are gilt with the same color of gold as the markers and the hands. The dial does a bunch of amazing color changes depending on how the light hits it. The movement is a very nicely finished Valjoux 72. I have not requested a archive report from JLC but I believe the watch is very late production for this style...probably around the early '60s.

I am a Heuer fan boy and was just about to buy an old Autavia from the same guy when he brought this one out for me to look at. I bought this instead. It has barely left my wrist since.

I will take some more pix soon. The size is about the same as a 2447 Carrera...about 36mm. It has probably been very lightly polished at some point but the edges are still very sharp. The alligator strap is not original but it has its original LeCoultre marked gold buckle.

I love me a compulsive gold bug! This one is not understated at all, but I bet she makes all kinds of eyes at you from the wrist!

I guess you have me nailed Lou. I am a stainless bug too but when I can find a gold screw-back in good shape I will almost always pounce.

What an absolute beauty, I've never seen this particular design before.

I love the design & the proportions look perfect (great movement shot too).

I'll look forward to a future photoshoot??

Talk about underrated and undervalued. Whata pickup. Can't wait to see some wrist shots and such!!

Thanks for all of the kind words about the LeCoulter Chrono. I just got a chance to take a couple more pix. The dial is very difficult to photograph. It turns different colors at different angles and can even sort of go all white and disappear in the wrong/right light. Anyway, here is a wristie and a sort of side shot. I love it that it has a marked crown. The few of these I have seen do not but I have never seen one exactly like this.
