Thinking of surprising the Mrs. for a big upcoming milestone. Would love to find something from the 50s or 60s, something out of the norm, interesting dial, etc, and all original (she wouldn’t care but for my watch OCD!) Preferably on a bracelet and preferably automatic, but hit me up with what you got.

As always, thanks to OF for the space!

Does she normally wear 26-28mm watches?

26mm yeah, not much larger since she has tiny wrists. A few of the 50s models I’ve been looking at are 22mm which I think would be great.

Just keep in mind parts availability if they get too old. It’s one thing for us to play with funky and clunky watches, but another if we are going to gift them.
You may also want to look at some of the Tudor Princess’ from the 60’s-70’s. All the Rolex styling at a fraction of the cost and eta movements, so easy to have serviced.

Appreciate that, for sure! I good reminder that not all are crazy collectors like us! I’ll check out some Tudor Princess’ thanks.
